Two blue ticks and one red tick in a WhatsApp message means the government has started taking action against you. And three red ticks means the government has started a case against you! The PIB said that there was no truth in the message.


Messages like these three red ticks went viral last year. WhatsApp says it has no basis though. Even before the new digital law was launched in the country on May 26, such a message started circulating in WhatsApp. The company said that the message was completely fake.


The message claims that WhatsApp has recently come up with a new communication rule.

 Facebook has approached the court against the central government's new information technology law. WhatsApp, a popular messaging platform, approached the Delhi High Court against the government's new rules.

Their complaint is that this will disrupt the privacy of customers. Because if you keep an eye on every message sent on WhatsApp according to the new rules, the 'end to end encryption' rule will be broken. Privacy will be compromised.

The viral message, meanwhile, states that if a customer spreads a negative message against the government or a religious issue, the customer can be arrested. The bogus message further states that the handset used will be integrated with the ministry's system. However, Facebook has made it clear that there is no basis for these messages.
