How To Enable Or Disable USB Ports In Windows 10 - Knowledge World

Today we will discuss how to disable the USB port of your PC and how to enable it. Before that, why not disable the USB port? It is often seen that others use a pen-drive or memory card on your PC at different times. And that is the problem. Using those pen drives often spreads the virus on your PC. You can disable your personal PC's USB port for this. Doing so will protect your PC from virus attacks. Below I have seen the USB Port Disable method in two ways.

Method - 01:

First right click on MY Pc / My Computer on your desktop. Click Manage from here. Then click on Devise Manager. Then you will see the Universal Serial Bus Controller option at the bottom. If you click on it, you will see that there are two options called Generic USB Hub. If you enable it again, the port will work.

Method 02:

After going to Run - CMD - regedit, you will see a window open. Click here to see HKEY Local Machine - System- CurrentControllset - Service - USBSTOR. A new window will open again. There will be a cell called Value Data. There are usually 3 sets. Edit 3, put 4 and click OK. You will see that your USB port is disabled. If you put 3 instead of 4, it will be enabled.
