Are neighbours unknowingly using your own WiFi? Understand but can't find a way to catch it.
Your WiFi connection is sometimes getting slow. Have everyone in the neighbourhood checked your Wi-Fi? Many times when casting video, an unknown device catches the eye. Did neighbours unknowingly start using your WiFi? However, many again automatically put the neighbour with a WiFi password.
You might think the man next door just watches Netflix. Where is the problem? However, never allow strangers to enter your network. If someone has access to your network, that person can snatch all your mobile and computer information if they want. Important files can be deleted from your computer or laptop without your knowledge. Also, malware can enter your system. And that's why you need to be always aware of which devices are connected to your WiFi network.
See who's using your WiFi network?
What to do?
* Windows customers can view all network devices using free software called Wireless Network Watcher. This software will show you a list of connected devices. Take action if you see an unknown device there.
* Install Wireless Network Watcher on the computer and open it, it will start scanning your network. After waiting a minute or two, you will see a list of all connected devices.
* There is no reason to worry even if you are scared at first looking at the list! You can understand all the information if you look at it in a little time. Look at the Device Name and Network Adapter Company column without looking at the IP Addresses and MAC address column.
* Here you will see the names or brand names of all your connected devices. Be careful if you come across an unknown device.
Check router settings - If you do not understand all the devices in the list above, open the router settings. View the IP Address from the router's management page and type it in the browser address bar. Then log in with the username and password on the router settings page. Click on the 'Attached Devices' or 'Client List' option here. There you will find a list of all devices connected to the network, just like Wireless Network Watcher. However, some device names may change here. Be careful if unknown devices are not recognized from this list.

Strengthen network security - If you find that your neighbour is using your WiFi without letting you know, there's no need to yell at him. By going to the router security option, you can remove them from the network. If you do not have a password on your WiFi, start using the password on the network now. If you do not have a password on your network, even very simple hackers can hack your computer and mobile.
How did the neighbour find out your WiFi password?
Believe it or not, the password on your network is actually very simple. So your neighbour has easily guessed that password. Your phone number, home name or address, whatever the password may be, a permutation-combination, they have taken the right password.
What if you don't even get your WiFi password?
If you have WPS on your WiFi router, please turn it off for your safety. With WPS on, it is possible to easily hack the password of the router.
To prevent your neighbours from unknowingly using WiFi, choose a solid password for network security. You see, it doesn't become such a hard password that you unknowingly forget it. Create a password consisting of letters, numbers, and special characters. This kind of hard password will not be possible for your neighbour to guess. After changing the password, all your own devices need to be logged in with the new password.
